Schneider Electric Acquires Grid Resilience Solutions Provider AiDASH for $350 Million

Global energy technology company Schneider Electric announced that it has acquired satellite data and AI-powered risk intelligence provider AiDASH, in a transaction valuing the company at an enterprise value of $350 million.

Founded in 2019, Palo Alto-based AiDASH provides vegetation, asset, and climate risk intelligence solutions aimed at helping utilities protect critical infrastructure from weather and environmental risks. The company’s satellite-first remote inspection and monitoring platform is used to identify and address vegetation, storm and wildfire risks, helping utilities and other critical infrastructure operators to substantially reduce operating costs and to improve the reliability of their assets and networks.

According to Schnieder Electric, the transaction will help strengthen its position in Energy Intelligence, enabling the company to provide an end-to-end solution to grid customers under its One Digital Grid integrated platform.

Frederic Godemel, EVP Energy Management at Schneider Electric, said:

“Combining AiDASH’s differentiated satellite- and AI-powered vegetation, wildfire, storm, and asset management solutions with Schneider Electric’s portfolio, global footprint, and installed base, will create an end-to-end platform for critical infrastructure operators to improve grid reliability, resilience, and operational efficiency.”

In a post announcing the acquisition, AiDASH Co-founder and CEO Abhishek Vinod Singh added:

“Together with Schneider Electric, we will be able to bring our risk intelligence to utility operations and other critical infrastructure providers on a much larger scale.”

Schneider Electric first announced a $10 million investment in AiDASH in 2022 through its venture arm, SE Ventures, followed by participation in a $58.5 million funding round in 2024, led by sustainability-focused investor Lightrock.

In a post announcing the transaction, Lightrock CEO Pal Erik Sjatil called the acquisition “an important milestone for the climate adaptation sector.”

Sjatil added:

“Adaptation receives only a small share of overall climate finance, despite the urgent need for solutions that protect communities, businesses, and essential infrastructure. AiDASH has demonstrated that climate adaptation solutions can deliver both meaningful impact and strong commercial value.”
