Federated Hermes Appoints Martin Jarzebowski as Head of Thematic & Responsible Investing

Investment manager Federated Hermes has appointed Martin Jarzebowski as its new Head of Thematic & Responsible Investing.

Jarzebowski takes on the new role after more than 18 years at Federated Hermes, and serving in a series of senior roles, most recently as Director of Thematic & Responsible Investment, and prior as Director of Responsible Investment, leading the integration of ESG factors, engagement and analytics across equities, fixed income and liquidity solutions at the firm. He also serves as an advisory member on the IFRS Foundation’s ISSB’s Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB).

In his new role, Jarzebowski will lead Federated Hermes’ firmwide thematic research, sustainable finance, and stewardship intelligence integration across its equity, fixed income, private markets, and liquidity strategies, in addition to heading the FHI Responsible Investing Office, overseeing responsible investment strategy, proprietary thematic research platforms, proxy voting, communications, client relations, and corporate sustainability.
