MSCI Appoints Sonia Kim as Head of Sustainability

Investment data and research provider MSCI has appointed Sonia Kim as its new Head of Sustainability, responsible for leading the firm’s global sustainability business.

In her new role, Kim will have responsibility for MSCI’s sustainability business’ strategy, product, commercial growth, and organizational performance, including driving the evolution of its sustainability intelligence and analytics offering, combining data, research, technology and AI to deliver differentiated solutions for financial institutions and companies, according to her profile.

Kim joins MSCI from emissions monitoring company GHGSat, where she served as Chief Product Officer, leading the company’s global product strategy. Prior to joining GHGSat, she served as Global Head of Product for S&P Global’s sustainability unit, Sustainable1, the development and launch of the company’s inaugural sustainability and climate data solutions suite, and also held product development roles at companies including Fitch and Moody’s.

In a post announcing the new appointment, Kim said:
