Singapore-based clean energy platform PCG Global announced today the close of a Pre-Series A financing round led by Temasek-owned decarbonization-focused investment platform GenZero, with funding aimed at accelerating the company’s expansion across Southeast Asia, Oceania, and the Middle East.
Launched in 2025 by the team behind China-focused C&I distributed solar investor-operator PCG Power and backed by Temasek, PCG Global focuses on the investment, development, and operation of renewable energy infrastructure across international markets.
The company delivers integrated energy solutions spanning solar generation, energy storage, and smart energy management, with a full-lifecycle approach from project financing through to carbon management, which it says builds on the experience of PCG Power, which has invested in, constructed and operated more than 2 GW of renewable energy projects.
Li Wenxuan, Chairman and CEO of PCG Power, said:
“This round reflects institutional confidence in our ability to translate proven distributed energy capabilities into high-quality outcomes beyond China. We look forward to building renewable energy infrastructure that delivers lasting impact across Southeast Asia, Oceania, and the Middle East, and are grateful for the support from GenZero.”
The funding round marks the company’s first external capital raise, the company said, with the new capital to be used to accelerate project origination and execution across South East Asia, Oceana and the Middle East, where demand for renewable energy infrastructure is increasing due to net-zero commitments and energy security needs.
Kimberly Tan, Head of Investments at GenZero, said:
“The PCG team has demonstrated strong capabilities across fundraising, project development and operational execution since their establishment. We believe they are well-positioned to expand globally, particularly in regions like Asia and the Middle East, with significant demand for clean and resilient energy infrastructure.”
